The Beatles

The Beatles are partly responsible for why Rock 'n' Roll changed from the 1950's to the late 1960's. Each of the following all had their share as the vocalist: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star (Richard Starkey).  John Lennon played rhythm guitar, Paul McCartney played bass, George Harrison played lead Guitar and Ringo Star played drums. Each one is iconic for their position, the chances of these four musical geniuses meeting and creating music is immeasurable. The Beatles made plenty of music and sold over 1 billion units.

Guns N Roses

The hard rock band was formed in California during the mid 1980's. The band has had many members over the years and an ongoing conflict between the vocalist Axl Rose and the guitarist Slash. I like Guns N Roses because of the hard rock sound. The heavy guitar and the high pitched vocals that Axl provides are a fantastic combination. Eventually the band would break up and Slash would form his own band, but over the years the band named Guns N Roses has released 6 studio albums, selling over 100 million records.

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin is my favorite band. The combination of hard rock and blues works so well, it gives them a particular sound. The sick guitar riffs that Jimmy Page adds and the singing and screaming of Robert Plant is a fantastic combination. John Bonham on the drums and John Paul Jones on the bass defiantly set a unique rhythm to their songs. The band who completed most of its work in the late 60's and 70's made nine studio albums, holding many well known tracks.
